From the Author
A Whisk, a Story, and a Dream
Hi there! I'm a Cincinnati native, living with my husband and our sweet dog, Macchiato. Baking has always been a huge part of my life, especially Italian desserts that I grew up making with my mom and grandma. Those kitchen memories are some of my favorites, and they're also what inspired me to write this book.
I still love to bake all the time—though my husband and friends might tell you they're a little too used to being my recipe testers, but they aren't complaining! When I'm not in the kitchen, you can usually find me playing tennis, hiking, or curled up with a good book.
With this cookbook story, my goal is to give kids and families the chance to share the same kind of special baking moments I had growing up. I want children to feel excited and confident trying recipes that might normally seem "too challenging," and to experience them in a fun, lighthearted way that creates lasting memories—just like the ones I have with my family!
